7 Best Kontentino Alternatives in 2026, Compared on Price

KontentFire made this page, and KontentFire is on the list, at number two. You should know that before you read a word of it.

The seven are ordered by the reason people give for leaving Kontentino, not by a score. There are no star ratings anywhere on this page, because we have not run all seven tools and a number we made up would tell you nothing.

The verdict first: if client sign-off is why you bought Kontentino, check Planable before you move anywhere else. Kontentino puts client and external approvals on Standard at $131/mo, not on its $59 entry plan, and Planable runs approvals from $33/mo per workspace. The rest of this page is for everyone else.

Kontentino pricing read from kontentino.com/pricing on 14 September 2026. Every other price here was read the same day, from the pricing page each vendor publishes.

What are Kontentino alternatives?

Kontentino alternatives are social media management tools that cover the same ground: a content calendar, scheduling and publishing, and some way for a team to review a post before it goes live. What separates them is how they charge and who is allowed to approve.

Three questions decide this for you, and they take a minute to answer. Does anyone outside your own team have to approve a post before it publishes? How many networks do you actually publish to, as opposed to how many your plan allows? And are you paying for social profiles you never connected? If the answers are no, four or fewer, and yes, you are almost certainly overpaying.

What Kontentino is genuinely good at

Around 24,000 people use Kontentino, and the Slovakia-based team behind it built the tool for one job in particular. A client can approve a post without creating an account or learning your tool. Internal approval runs underneath that. Brand Hub and an AI brand voice hold tone steady across a roster. There is a Kanban board and an Instagram grid preview for planning a feed visually, a real mobile app, and nine networks to publish to: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, X, Pinterest and Google Business Profile.

If that list describes your week, nothing below this line is an upgrade.

Why people leave Kontentino in 2026

It is priced for a roster, not a business

Starter gives you 10 social profiles for $59 per month annually. Standard gives you 40 for $131. Those numbers make sense for an agency holding a roster of client brands and very little sense for one business with four accounts. Month to month the same plans are $83 and $179, a 41 percent premium on Starter for declining to commit to a year. If you use three of your ten profiles, most of the entry price buys capacity you never touch.

Analytics on Starter and Standard is a separate add-on

Analytics is not included on Starter at $59 per month or Standard at $131. It is an add-on from EUR 54 per month annually, or EUR 60 monthly. That is the line item people miss when they line up entry prices across tools. It is worth being precise, because at least one page currently ranking for this search states that analytics is not included in any Kontentino plan, and that is wrong: Pro at $239 per month includes analytics and competitor benchmarking. The add-on applies to the two cheaper plans, not to every plan.

There is no free plan, so day 15 is a $59 decision

The trial runs 14 days with no credit card, which is generous right up until it ends, because there is nothing underneath it. On day 15 you pay $59 per month annually, or $83 monthly, or you stop and your calendar goes with it. Compare that with a plan you can sit on indefinitely: Buffer at $0 for three channels, KontentFire at $0 for one post a week, Planable free until your fiftieth post. A trial sets a deadline. A free plan does not.

What it is not: Kontentino does have AI

Kontentino ships AI captions, AI image generation, AI translation, hashtag generation and an AI brand voice, with 100 AI credits on Starter at $59 per month and 1,000 on Standard at $131. Any page telling you Kontentino has no AI is wrong, and until today that included our own comparison page, which printed exactly that in a summary box. We have corrected it. The honest difference is not whether the AI exists. It is what it produces, and who approves it before it publishes.

What Kontentino actually costs in 2026

Every figure below was read from kontentino.com/pricing on 14 September 2026. Two of the pages currently ranking for this search state no Kontentino price at all, so here is the whole table.

The arithmetic nobody publishes

Starter is $59 per month and its analytics add-on is EUR 54 per month on annual billing. Kontentino prices the plan in dollars and the add-on in euros, so we are not going to pretend the total is one clean number. The cleaner comparison is Standard at $131 per month against KontentFire Blaze at $129.99 with the dashboard already inside it. That is $1.01 apart, and only one of them makes you buy reporting twice.

Add-ons and trial

  • Analytics: from EUR 54/mo annually, EUR 60 monthly, on Starter and Standard.
  • Global Content Manager: EUR 100/mo.
  • Extra onboarding: EUR 100 per hour.
  • Trial: 14 days, no credit card. No free plan underneath it.

The 7 Kontentino alternatives compared

Kontentino sits in the top row, because you cannot decide whether to leave a tool that is not in the table. Two columns here go against us on purpose: we do not have client approvals, and we publish to four networks against nine.

The 7 best Kontentino alternatives in 2026

1

1. Buffer: the cheapest way to keep the posts going out

Buffer is a scheduler first and everything else second. You connect channels, you queue posts, it publishes them. There is no client workspace to set up and no approval chain to design.

It prices per channel rather than per plan, so the invoice follows what you actually connect. Three channels cost nothing, which is the one thing Kontentino has no answer to at any price.

Pricing: Free: $0, 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel, 1 user. Essentials: $5 per channel per month, or $60 per channel billed yearly. Team: $10 per channel per month, adds approval workflows and unlimited members.

What the AI actually produces: Rewrites and suggests. You supply the post.

Buffer vs Kontentino

Kontentino Starter is $59 per month annually and $83 month to month for 10 profiles. Ten channels on Buffer Essentials is $50 per month, so Buffer is cheaper even at the full ten profiles Kontentino gives you. It wins outright at the floor: three channels are free forever and no Kontentino plan is. What you give up is client sign-off.

Honest limitations

  • The AI rewrites and suggests. It does not write a post from a blank page.
  • Ten channels on Essentials is $50 per month, under Kontentino Starter at $59.
  • Approvals start on Team at $10 per channel and cover team members, not clients.

Takeaway: The cheapest way to stop paying $59 per month, if nobody outside your team approves anything.

Best for: You are leaving on price alone and you only need the posts scheduled.

2. KontentFire: the one that writes the posts, and the one we make

This is our tool

This is our tool, so read the entry knowing who wrote it. KontentFire is built for the case Kontentino was not: one business, one owner, nobody on the payroll to write the copy.

The free plan is what matters when you are leaving a tool that has no free tier. It is $0 per month, no credit card, one post a week. Spark is $29.99 and Blaze is $129.99 with the analytics dashboard inside it rather than sold separately.

Pricing: Free: $0/mo, no credit card, 1 post per week, 1 connected platform. Spark: $29.99/mo, 100 credits, all supported platforms, email support. Blaze: $129.99/mo, 500 credits, smart auto-scheduling, AI images, analytics dashboard, priority support.

What the AI actually produces: Writes the full post from a blank page. AI images on every plan, without our logo on Blaze.

KontentFire vs Kontentino

We win on four things: $29.99 against $59 annually or $83 monthly, a free plan against a 14-day trial, analytics inside Blaze at $129.99 rather than an add-on from EUR 54 per month, and WordPress, which none of the nine Kontentino networks covers.

We lose on more than we win, and burying that would make the rest of this page worthless. No client or external approvals of any kind. Four networks against nine. No per-client workspaces. And Kontentino Standard gives 1,000 AI credits at $131 per month where Blaze gives 500 at $129.99, so on credit volume at that price you are better off where you are.

Honest limitations

  • No client or external approval workflow. If a client signs off before publishing, Kontentino is the right tool and we are not.
  • Four destinations against nine. No TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest or Google Business Profile.
  • Blaze is 500 credits at $129.99 where Kontentino Standard is 1,000 at $131, a loss on volume at the same price.

Takeaway: Right when the person approving the post is the person running the business. Wrong the moment anyone else has to see it first.

Best for: You are one business posting for yourself and nobody is writing the copy.

3. Planable: the closest like-for-like swap on approvals

Planable is the tool most like Kontentino at the thing Kontentino is bought for. Sign-off happens on a preview that looks like the published post, with the approval conversation beside it instead of in an email thread.

The pricing shape is the part to understand before you move. Planable bills per workspace and users inside a workspace are unlimited. There is no trial clock either: the first 50 posts are free with no time limit and no credit card.

Pricing: Free until 50 posts: no time limit, no credit card. Basic: $33 per workspace per month, 60 posts, 4 social pages, 2 approval types. Pro: $49 per workspace per month, 150 posts, 10 social pages, 3 approval types. Enterprise: custom, multi-level approvals. Add-ons per workspace per month: analytics $12, inbox $7.50, listening $82.50.

What the AI actually produces: Assists captions. Preview and approval are the product.

Planable vs Kontentino

One workspace on Pro at $49 per month undercuts Kontentino Starter at $59 and gives you unlimited seats. It turns over the moment you have a roster: five client workspaces on Pro is $245 per month against Kontentino Standard at $131 for 40 profiles with client approvals already included. Both publish to the same nine networks, so this is a difference in pricing shape rather than capability.

Honest limitations

  • Billing is per workspace, so a roster of client brands multiplies the bill.
  • Posts are capped by tier: 60 a month on Basic, 150 on Pro.
  • Analytics is a $12 per workspace add-on, the same trap people leave Kontentino over.

Takeaway: The swap that keeps the approvals. Do the workspace arithmetic before assuming it is cheaper.

Best for: You need the approval workflow and are only switching for a better one.

4. Agorapulse: publishing, engagement and reporting on one subscription

Agorapulse treats the inbox as part of the job rather than a bolt-on. Publishing, engagement and reporting arrive on one subscription instead of three.

It is priced per user, and that is the number that decides whether it fits. Reporting is included at every tier, which is the real answer for anyone paying Kontentino for a plan and then paying again for analytics.

Pricing: Standard: $79 per user per month annually, $99 monthly, 10 social profiles. Professional: $119 annually, $149 monthly, team performance reports. Advanced: $149 annually, $199 monthly, advanced reporting and ROI analysis. Custom: tailored pricing, unlimited profiles. 30-day trial, no credit card, no free plan.

What the AI actually produces: Assists replies and copy. Reporting is the product.

Agorapulse vs Kontentino

Standard at $79 per user per month annually costs more than Kontentino Starter at $59 and gives you the same 10 social profiles. What the difference buys is reporting, which Kontentino sells from EUR 54 per month on Starter and Standard. For one person that swap is straightforward. For three it is $237 per month against Kontentino Standard at $131, because Agorapulse multiplies by seats and Kontentino does not.

Honest limitations

  • Per-user pricing multiplies: three seats on Standard is $237 per month annually.
  • No free plan, only a 30-day trial, so it does not solve the day-15 problem.
  • The entry price sits above Kontentino Starter, so nobody switches here to save money.

Takeaway: Worth it when the inbox and the report are the job. Not the cheaper option on any tier.

Best for: You want publishing, engagement and reporting in one subscription.

5. Hootsuite: approvals and reach, above the price you are leaving

Hootsuite is where an agency goes when it wants to leave Kontentino and keep an approval step. It has been doing this since 2008 and connects more third-party tools than anything else here.

It is also the most expensive way to keep an approval step. It is one of three entries here that cost more than the tool you are leaving, alongside Agorapulse and Sprout Social, and it is the dearest of the three. When we read the pricing page the plan cards printed no prices at all. The figures below are the ones Hootsuite states in its own pricing FAQ on that page.

Pricing: Standard: from $99/mo, 10 social accounts. Professional: from $199/mo, unlimited accounts. Advanced: up to $399/mo, adds content review and approval. Enterprise: custom. 14-day trial, no free plan.

What the AI actually produces: Assists captions and hashtags. Does not write the post.

Hootsuite vs Kontentino

Kontentino Starter is $59 per month annually for 10 profiles with an internal approval workflow already in it. Hootsuite Standard is $99 for the same 10 accounts, and on the day we read it approvals did not appear until Advanced at up to $399. If approvals are what you are protecting, this move means paying more to get the feature back. The reason to do it anyway is reach.

Honest limitations

  • More expensive than Kontentino at every comparable tier, opening at $99 against $59.
  • Approvals sit on Advanced, listed at up to $399 per month.
  • The AI assists captions and hashtags rather than producing the post.

Takeaway: Buy it for reach and integrations. Do not buy it to save money.

Best for: You need approvals plus the widest platform coverage and have the budget.

hootsuite.com/pricing and hootsuite.com/plans, read 14 September 2026. The plan cards printed no prices; these figures come from the pricing FAQ on the same page.

6. Sprout Social: buy it when the report is the deliverable

Sprout Social has the deepest reporting on this page by a wide margin. If you invoice a client every month for a report, that report is the product you are buying.

Pricing is per seat, which changes the arithmetic completely. Profiles are capped at 5 on the two cheaper tiers, half of what Kontentino Starter gives you for $59.

Pricing: Essentials: $79 per seat per month annually, $99 monthly, 5 social profiles. Standard: $199 per seat per month, 5 profiles. Professional: $299 per seat per month, unlimited profiles. Advanced: $399 per seat per month. Enterprise: custom. 30-day trial, no free plan.

What the AI actually produces: Assists existing copy. Reporting is the product.

Sprout Social vs Kontentino

Kontentino Pro is $239 per month annually, and at that tier analytics and competitor benchmarking are included alongside unlimited profiles. One Sprout seat on Standard is $199 per month for 5 profiles, and two seats is $398. Kontentino charges per plan, Sprout charges per person, so Sprout reads as competitive for a solo operator and expensive the moment a second person logs in. We are not claiming KontentFire reports better than either.

Honest limitations

  • Per-seat pricing: two seats on Standard is $398 per month before anyone posts.
  • Essentials and Standard cap you at 5 profiles against 10 on Kontentino Starter.
  • The AI refines copy you already have rather than producing the post.

Takeaway: The right answer when reporting is what you sell, and an expensive one when it is not.

Best for: Reporting is the deliverable you bill for.

7. Later: Instagram, the grid, and not a great deal else

Later grew up as an Instagram planner and still reads like one. The visual calendar, the grid preview and the link-in-bio page are why people pick it.

On the day we read the pricing page it printed annual figures only, so every number below assumes you pay for a year up front. There is a 14-day trial rather than a free plan.

Pricing: Starter: $18.75/mo billed yearly, 1 social set of 8 profiles, 1 user. Growth: $37.50/mo billed yearly, 2 social sets, 2 users. Scale: $82.50/mo billed yearly, 6 social sets, 4 users. Month-to-month prices were not printed.

What the AI actually produces: Suggests captions. Does not write the post.

Later vs Kontentino

Starter at $18.75 per month billed yearly is the cheapest flat-rate plan here and roughly a third of Kontentino Starter at $59. Buffer undercuts it up to three channels because it bills per channel rather than per plan, at $5 each, and Later is cheaper from four channels up. It is also the narrowest: one user, no published client approval step, and an AI that suggests captions. Be careful about the reason people give for this move. Kontentino Standard at $131 per month already includes an Instagram grid preview and a Kanban board, so switching purely for the grid is paying to move sideways.

Honest limitations

  • One user on Starter, so it is not an agency workflow at the entry price.
  • No client approval step published on the pricing page we read.
  • Month-to-month prices were not printed, so the figures assume annual billing.

Takeaway: The cheapest flat-rate plan here, and the least tool for the money if you are not Instagram-first.

Best for: Instagram and visual planning is the whole job.

later.com/pricing, read 14 September 2026. Later did not name its networks on the pages we read.

KontentFire vs Later

How we compared these tools

Five criteria, each one reappearing as a labelled line inside all seven entries so you can read one axis straight down the page.

What it costs on both billing terms

Annual and month to month, because the gap is where the surprise lives. Kontentino charges 41 percent more on Starter to avoid a year.

Whether there is a free plan

A trial ends, a free plan does not. Only Buffer, KontentFire and Planable have one.

Whether anyone outside your team can approve

The axis that decides most of these switches. Kontentino puts client and external approvals on Standard at $131/mo, not on its $59 entry plan. Starter gets internal approvals only.

What it publishes to

Networks, not feature counts. Two vendors did not name theirs on the pages we read, and their entries say so instead of guessing.

What the AI actually produces

Rewriting your caption and writing the post from a blank page are different products. Most tools here do the first.

How the order was set. By reason for leaving, not by score. We did not put ourselves first, because price with no free tier is the most common reason people leave Kontentino, and Buffer answers that more cheaply than we do at $5 per channel per month.

Where the numbers came from. Every figure was read from the pricing page each vendor publishes, on 14 September 2026. Where a vendor did not print a figure, the entry says so instead of guessing.

What we did not do. We have not run all seven tools. We publish no ratings and no scores, and we have no customer reviews of our own to quote. Weigh the page accordingly.

Which Kontentino alternative is right for you?

Two of these eight rows tell you to stay where you are. That is not modesty, it is what the feature list says.

Switching from Kontentino: what to check first

1. Export your content calendar and approval history before you cancel

Everything scheduled, and whatever record exists of who approved what, lives inside the subscription. Get it out while the account is still live.

2. Tell clients before you switch, not after

Approval links belong to the subscription. When it ends, the link a client uses to sign off stops working. Have that conversation a week early rather than on the morning it breaks.

3. Confirm your billing cycle and renewal terms with Kontentino directly

We cannot verify their refund policy and we will not repeat what a competitor page claims about it. Ask Kontentino in writing before you cancel, and get the renewal date in the same reply.

4. Run the new tool alongside Kontentino before you cancel anything

A free-forever plan means you never have to cancel first to find out, which is an argument a tool with only a trial cannot make. Publish from both for two weeks and compare what actually went out.

Kontentino alternatives FAQs

What is the best Kontentino alternative?

There is no single winner, because these seven answer different reasons for leaving. On price it is Buffer, free for three channels and then $5 per channel per month. If you are one business with nobody writing the copy it is KontentFire at $29.99 per month, and we make that one. If approvals are what you need to keep, it is Planable at $49 per workspace or Hootsuite from $99.

Is there a free alternative to Kontentino?

Three of the seven have something free. Buffer gives you three channels and one user at $0. KontentFire gives you one post a week on one platform at $0 with no credit card. Planable gives you your first 50 posts free with no time limit. Agorapulse, Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Later run trials instead, between 14 and 30 days.

What is the cheapest Kontentino alternative?

Buffer, if you count the free tier: three channels at $0 against $59 per month. On paid plans the cheapest is Later at $18.75 per month billed yearly, then KontentFire Spark at $29.99, then Planable Basic at $33 per workspace. Buffer Essentials at $5 per channel beats all of them up to three channels and passes KontentFire Spark at six.

Does Kontentino have AI content generation?

Yes. It ships AI captions, AI image generation, AI translation, hashtag generation and an AI brand voice, with 100 AI credits on Starter at $59 per month and 1,000 on Standard at $131. Our own comparison page claimed otherwise until we corrected it. Judge these tools on what the AI produces and who reviews it, not on whether the feature exists.

How much does Kontentino cost once you add analytics?

Starter is $59 per month annually, and analytics on Starter and Standard is an add-on from EUR 54 per month annually or EUR 60 monthly. Kontentino prices the plan in dollars and the add-on in euros, so we will not pretend the total is one clean figure. Pro at $239 per month includes analytics and competitor benchmarking with nothing extra to buy.

Which Kontentino alternatives have client approval workflows?

Planable publishes two approval types on Basic at $33 per workspace and three on Pro at $49. Hootsuite lists content review and approval on Advanced, up to $399 per month. Buffer Team at $10 per channel has approvals, but for team members rather than clients. KontentFire has none. Agorapulse, Sprout Social and Later did not publish this on the pages we read.

Should I stay on Kontentino?

Stay if a client signs off before posts publish, if you need more than four networks, or if you run 10 to 40 profiles across separate brands. Those are the jobs it was built for and $59 to $131 per month is a fair price for them. Leave if you are one business, never use approvals, and are paying for a roster you do not have.

Can I run a Kontentino alternative alongside Kontentino while I switch?

Yes, and it is the safest way to do it. Buffer at $0 for three channels, KontentFire at $0 for one post a week and Planable for your first 50 posts all let you publish in parallel for a few weeks. Tools with trials only, from 14 days to 30, give you a clock instead of a choice.

Free plan, no credit card

Try KontentFire next to what you already pay for

You do not have to cancel anything to find out. Run KontentFire alongside Kontentino for a couple of weeks on the free plan, compare what actually went out, and pay us nothing if it does not fit. Spark is $29.99 per month when it does.
